Setting Up An Invitation to Play

Creating a Curious Inquisitive Child.

Simply stated, an invitation to play is arranging the environment so that it “invites” children to come to an area in the playroom to explore, investigate, question, examine, participate, touch, feel, and manipulate through as much independent play as the materials can possibly allow. During this workshop participants will learn how to set up invitations to play in all areas of the playroom based on children’s interests. Participants will learn that by using play invitations they can expand children’s development, curiosity and executive function skills.
